Vault 23 - Hell Gate

Vault 23 was originally built to do psychological experiments on its dwellers. Main mission of the vault was to research physiological effects of extreme psychological pressure such as borderline anxiety, super-phobia and  radical beliefs of paranormal subjects. In order to do that, an Overseer should be trained very carefully who would carry their subjects to the edge of madness. The vault was equipped with special sound and lightning effects in order to provide various environmental conditions to be more convincing. Overseer Brooks was especially obsessed with Demonology and biblical Hell, therefore many realistic cult books and satanic props were put at her disposal. Although research was very fruitful in the first 50 years, things drastically and quickly changed after Overseer Brooks died and her son Meryl succeeded her. Early reports mentioned him as a madman. He was not following any rules or policies, also genuinely believing that he was the prophet of Lucifer. Throughout the generations, nearly after 200 years, a strange distress signal finalized all communications with Vault 23. The message was short but uneasy:

"She will drown in our blood and rise again to rule the new world. Surrender your souls and let her grind your flesh. Soon... Now... She shall feed!"

After the message, many attempts were made to reach the vault, to no avail. The doom of vault's inhabitants is still a mystery today.

This huge map is 13500 x 13500 pixels with 96 DPI resolution, preferably 75x75 tiles (5ft each); which is perfect for virtual table top programs like VTT, D20, Fantasy Grounds and so on. The map has a mildly dark lightning and it's suggested to use this color tone.  There's a huge underground cave opening on the west side of the map that is suitable to do some intensive combat. There's also a large space suitable for a final boss fight.
